PeptideTrust is reader-first and independent. This page explains exactly how we make money and the hard rules that keep it from bending our scores.
How we earn
Of the 11 vendors we currently rate, 3 are affiliate partners: we may earn a commission if you buy through a link on that vendor's page. Those links are the only ones on the site that carry an affiliate parameter, and each is labelled inline with a visible badge: "We earn a commission if you buy through this link — it does not change the score."
The rules commissions can never break
- Scores are computed, not negotiated. Every score comes from the same 10-criterion rubric applied to dated evidence. There is no editorial override for partners.
- The board is ranked strictly by score. We never reorder it to move a partner up. As it stands, our two most transparent vendors are ones we earn nothing from, and one affiliate partner sits near the bottom of the table — shown honestly.
- Non-affiliated vendors are linked cleanly. Links to vendors we have no relationship with contain no affiliate or tracking parameters.
- Evidence links are always clean. The "Source" links on every criterion point to the raw vendor or lab page — never through an affiliate redirect.
Why disclose so bluntly?
This is a trust product. A transparency scorecard that hid its own incentives would be self-defeating. If an affiliate partner ever scores badly, you will see the bad score — that is the point.
Independence
No vendor pays for placement, a review, a higher score, or removal of a low one. We accept no free product in exchange for coverage. If our relationship with a vendor changes, this page and the affected pages are updated.
